Tech Week

As promised, I'd like to give some updates on how the production side of things are coming along. Tech week starts today, which means all of the different design elements such as lighting and sound will be set up, programmed, and finalized. This year's piece is exciting (and also challenging) because the show is moving through more than one area, in an unconventional performance space. Below is a picture of the new studio lights being installed on booms. Next step is securing and taping all cords. Light programming will be completed later in the week. An important element in lighting the studio is being able to black out the whole performance space. This allows full control of designing lights. Basically two walls of the studio are floor to ceiling windows, so 13 blackout curtains were installed. As mentioned, the exciting part will be setting up everything in the rest of building 4000. To see that you'll just have to attend the show! ;)
